Very nice and useful!

Simple, useful app ruined by ugly banner ad at bottom (not shown in sample pictures). Its 2015--time for pay options for an ad-free app experience.

What happened to the moon phases? Did I download the wrong up?

The time does not appear unless I change the date then return to todays date. The older version was better.

I love this app after Dec 21 because it reminds you the days are getting longer and summer is coming!

Gives you basic sunrise and set and difference from prior and future week and month. But prior version showed optional moon phase, rise and set times and I paid for ad-free version which seems to have been blown away. The ads are truly distracting. Less features than prior version.

I got this app on a whim, and I am glad I did. I never realized before how useful it is to know when the sun will set. I enjoy walking outside, and this app helps me be sure to get out while it is still light out. It is also fun at this time of year to look ahead and see the days getting longer again!

I used the previous version for years. Im a landscape photographer, and it was a simple, clean interface to determine sunrise/sunset and plan my shoot. There are more sophisticated complex apps, but I always started with this little app. I updated the app per the annoying little messages, and as feared, it has fewer features than before. Previous version had moon rise/set, and an especially neat feature when you changed from portrait to landscape. I see no techincal improvements at all, but rather a money grab with the ads. Very, very dissappointing. Suggest you try Sun & Moon, Sunseeker, TPE, or PhotoPills.

It gives accurate sunup/sundown but it crashes easily, and the most recent update only allows it to work in horizontal mode. Whats up with that?

Your original APP worked great, as does the newest version. However, the new version does not include a count down digital timer indicating how long before the sun rises, as does the original. Thus I continue to use the old version and can only rate at 3 Stars... Its a 5 if the timer was added back.

Easy to use

Used this all the time and then last version started nagging me to download latest version from App Store, which I just now installed. The nag message also indicated that if you see ads, click them twice and that will make them stop showing up. WRONG!!! Now Im stuck with seeing banner ads at bottom of app, plus as others have noted the moonrise/moon set feature is gone, and nothing happens when you move phone to landscape orientation. Deleting app and going back to prior version.

As I wait for spring its nice to see progress each day

I sent an email to the developer about the issues I experienced with the current version (wasnt able to get rid of banner ads, unable to get moonrise/moo set times to display after shaking the device). I asked for advice on how to resolve or to provide a refund. Much to his credit, he provided me with further instructions about resolving my 2 issues and also kindly offered to refund my purchase price if desired I had bought the full app back when there were 2 versions, free and pay). So I deleted the older version that I had restored, then power cycled my phone, downloaded the latest version then opened it up. Shook phone and moonrise/set times were now displayed! Banner ads also went away after I clicked on the ad two times. Closed app and relaunched several times, no more ads! Back to being VERY HAPPY with the app, took off one star just because I dont think we should have to deal with resetting the banner ad behavior in an app that was previously purchased. GREAT and USEFUL app overall!

It does everything I expected it to do for me in a very concise way.

Short, sweet and to the point. This is a very fast way to get sunrise and sunset times. Easy!

I was forced to update and now it is only in landscape mode, which I will not use.

Kept nagging me to update. Claimed I could get rid of ads with a double tap. This is a lie. Wish old App would have stayed working. Will look for a new app that does not deceive.
